Travel Grants and Information

Travel Grants 

Travel grants for a select number of graduate students, preferably PhD student, will be available.  In your conference submission please include a short description (1 paragraph) of how your participation in this conference would benefit your professional development and contribute to understandings of the conference theme and questions. Please indicate how much you are requesting and how the funds would be used.

There are also options for hostels, bed and breakfasts and other temporary housing for travelers in Albany.

To Main Campus:

Driving-Interstate 87, from the north and south, and Interstate 90, from the east and west, go through Albany. I-90 has an exit (Exit 2) in front of the main entrance to campus

Bus- Greyhound and Adirondack Trailways have service to Downtown Albany and buses to the main campus

Airplane- Albany International Airport is about 15 minutes driving from campus. There are cabs available at the airport to go to campus

Rail- Amtrak has service in Rensselaer on the other side of the Hudson River. Cabs are available at the station to make the 20-25 minute drive to campus.
